Sherman John King, 80, of Pigeon Forge, died Friday, February 18, 2000.
He was a member of Williamsburg Baptist Church and retired from Great Smoky Mountain National Park. He was a World War II veteran.
Mr. King was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. His parents were Jim and Barbara King.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Louise Maples King; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bill McClure; son, Gary D. King; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Roy Myers, Mae Helton and Frank Tarwater; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral service is 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Beck and the Rev. Ben Knight officiating. Interment is 11:30 a.m. Monday in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
