Mr. Keener was an Air Force veteran of WWII in which he served with three of his brothers. He was a faithful member, deacon and Sunday school teacher at Henderson’s Chapel Baptist Church for over 40 years. Mr. Keener was a 50 year member of Sevier Lodge # 334 F & AM and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was preceded in death by parents John Benjamin and Molly Thomas Keener; brothers William H. (Bill) and Ben Clark Keener; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Edison and Jenny Keener, Frank and Stella Keener. Survivors: Wife of 50 years: Helen “Bea” Keener Son and daughter-in-law: Joe T. Keener, II and wife Tonya Keener Grandsons: Caleb and Wil Keener Granddaughter: Jenny Keener Brother and sister-in-law: Robert L. “Bobby” Keener and wife Jo Ann Sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Betty Huskey and husband David Special nephew and niece: Jim and Marjorie Keener Nieces and nephews: Robert Keener, Patti Keener, Sharon Huskey and Doran Huskey Funeral service 10 AM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev.Bill Maples and Rev.
