Mildred Bacon Hayes , 90, of Pittsgrove Township, New Jersey, formerly of Bybee, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 17, 2005, at her residence. She was a retired nurse's aide. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ordam "Nig" Hayes ; parents, Walter and Nettie Knight Bacon ; four sons, James, Edward, Hardy, and Alvin Hayes ; and two sisters, Kay Carlson and Hazel Maylo. Mildred is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Barbara Hayes , of Pittsgrove Township, New Jersey; a daughter, Lorraine Peterson and her husband, Steelman, of Millville; a brother, Joe Bacon , of Newport; 20 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 21, 2005, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m., the Rev. Ransom Hall officiating.
