Deceased Name: Man dies in fatal crash A Cosby man was killed Saturday morning in a fatal crash off Edwina Road. Jeff Bible , 39, Campers Paradise, was killed in the one-vehicle crash. Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Tracy Barrett reported that Bible was driving his vehicle on Edwina Road when he lost control and the car left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The crash occurred about 2:10 a.m. Saturday morning. Bible was pinned in the vehicle for some time before he could be removed by members of the Newport Rescue Squad using their Jaws of Life. Trooper Barrett reported that there were no immediate indications that alcohol was involved in the accident although she did report that he appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed.
