FINGER, Tanis Xavier McKinsey Cory “Tanman”, age 8 of Friendsville, passed away Monday, October 6, 2003, at his home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Mary Hicks, Jack and Hazel Younce; great grandparents, Guy and Iva Finger; and aunt, Pat Hicks.
Survivors include: father, Guy Finger and Gayle Guilliams; mother, Angela Younce and Dennis Marsh; “Papaw”, Hubert Finger and “Nana”, Nancy Finger; sister, Julia Finger; half-sisters, Catherine Menken Finger and Morgan Finger; half-brother, Andrew Weeks of Vermont; stepsisters, Candice, Sara and Sammy; stepbrother, Robert; special friends, Sherri Holloway, Joe and Brittney Menken and Derek and Sean Marsh; aunt and uncle, Nicole and Mike Ellis; uncles, Jack Younce, Jr. and wife Pam of Louisville, TN, Mike Younce and Carolyn of Clarksville, TN; aunt, Linda Galyon of Lenoir City, TN; cousins, Courtney, Kassidy, Scarlett, Isabella, Kelcey, Jordon, Karen, Jack and Susan; many family members, including great aunts, great uncles and great great aunts and great great uncles, many cousins and friends.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Malik, Dr. Pais, special friends at Childrens Hospital and special thanks to Dawn, Ms. Greene, Ms. King, Ms. Clark, Ms. Redman, teachers at Friendsville School.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Nazarene Church, on Union Grove Road, with Rev. Rebecca Milligan and Pastor Brad Bryant officiating. The interment will follow in Zion's Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-9:00 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
Pall Bearers will be Mike Ridley, Timmy Gilland, Dan Miracle, Dennis Marsh and Mike Ellis.
