Edith Bryant Penny Beckwith , age 70, of Apex , died Saturday. A funeral service will be held Monday night at 8 p.m. in the Apex Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. O.T. Hooks will officiate the services. Burial will be on Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Apex Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband E.C. Beckwith Jr. and also her parents, Larry and Mary Penny, and one sister, Janet Alexander. She is survived by four sisters, Lottie Council of Apex, Swinson Nelson of Maryville, Tn., Helen Bullock of Apex , and Betsy Adams of Garner. Several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Monday night from 7 - 8 p.m. prior to the service. Arrangements are with Apex Funeral Directors, Inc. W. Williams Street (Hwy. 55) Apex, NC 27502.
