Jenny Leigh Williamson Merry, 56, passed away Jan. 14, 2013. She was born Dec. 1, 1956, into an Air Force family stationed in San Angelo, Texas, and as a result lived worldwide.
At a young age, Jenny developed a true love for photography that led to a storied career. Graduating from the University of New Mexico in 1984, she moved to Greeley and pursued her dream of starting a photography business. She cultivated her craft and shared her passion and success with the students of Frontier Academy. The true loves of her life were her three children, only to be joined later by two grandsons. Jenny was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for more than 15 years.
Jenny is survived by her sons, Robert and Mark Merry, Greeley; daughter, Jeanette Pope (Kyle), Greeley; grandchildren, Mason Pope and Baby Boy Pope, due Jan. 23, 2013, Greeley; sisters, Cindy Selph (Ron), Cleburne, Texas, Laura Verploegh, Las Cruces, N.M., Lisa Howard (Rich), Raleigh, N.C.; nieces and nephews, Katie Didlake (Josh), Kevin Selph (Shelby), Addie and Connor Verploegh, Michael and Ben Kingsbury, and Kelly Howard; and former husband, Tom Merry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mahlon and Una Williamson; and brother, Mark Williamson.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Bethel Baptist Church, 2307 17th Ave., Greeley, with a celebration of Jenny’s life from 3-6 p.m. at the St. Michaels Event Center, 3050 67th Ave. Place, Greeley.
