HARNESS, STELLA BAILEY THOMPSON age 89 went home to her eternal life in heaven Friday, January 15, 2010. She was a faithful member of Burnetts Creek Baptist Church where she served as church treasurer for many years. She was retired from Hartman Beverage Company. Preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charles Herbert Thompson , a retired Southern Railroad employee and her second husband of 6 years, Jerry Harness, a retired military captain; great grandson, Charles Robinette. Survived by her four children and spouses; Tommy and wife Linda, Bobby and wife Sherry, Larry Thompson ; daughter Dorothy and husband Donnie Thomas ; grandchildren; Denise and Doug Garland, Daniel and Susan Thomas , Lewis and Stacy Thompson , April Thompson , Melissa Dunlap, John Leight, Diane Brown; great grandchildren, Jesse and Lindy Garland, Dillion and Jade Thomas , Samantha Thompson , D. W. Robinette, Casey, Cameron, Shelby and Jennifer Sullivan, J.J. Leight, Michelle and Christopher Anderson, Catherine Comsa, Gabrielle Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews and special friends, Kay Jeffers and Fay Cannon. Funeral service will be in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 8:00PM with Rev. Jimmy Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at Highland South Memorial Park on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM for the interment.
