She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Clayton Gooden; parents, Henry and Mattie Spears; grandson, Jeffery Wayne Beasley; brothers, Roy, Charles, Robert, Fred, Paul and Earl Spears; and sisters, Dorothy Graves and Nellie Bales. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Wilma and Herbert Mills and Barbara and Kenneth Foxx; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carrie Gooden; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Peggy Spears; sister-in-law, Bo Spears; grandsons, Rev. Terry and wife, Debbie Goodman, Brian Gooden, and Revel Sharp; granddaughter, Suzette Watkins; great-grandchildren, Chastidy Spires, Kevin Watkins, David, Jacob, Andrew, and Daniel Goodman, and Autumn and Jacob Sharp; great-great-grandchildren, Logan Beasley and Rhiannon Spires; special friend, Jeri Keller; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 PM Friday, June 26, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home, Cedar Chapel, with Rev. Bill Balch officiating.
