SANDS , HAROLD EDWARD - age 88, of Maryville, died Monday, May 17, 1999, at his home. He was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 year service club. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ira Craig Sands ; and son, Edward C. Sands . Survivors include daughters, Joyce Tallent of Maryville and Phyllis Hodge of Knoxville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother,Earl Sands of Greenback; and a sister, Gene McCollum of Maryville. The funeral will be 8 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons Chapel with Rev. Dwight Cagle officiating. The interment will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home in Maryville.
