Edith Whaley Gamble - age 90 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday morning, October 31, 2010. A member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in West Knoxville. Edith was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Gamble; parents, Roy and Cora Whaley; sister, Bea Nolan and infant sister, Sylvia; brother, Glenn Whaley. She is survived by her children: Rev. Glenn Gamble and wife, Sandy, Jim Gamble and wife, Sue, Sue Rayfield and husband, Leon, Dick Gamble and wife, Linda, Jan Williams and husband, Charles; 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; sister, Mayme Pryor and husband, Jack along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 12-2 p.m. Tuesday with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Glenn Gamble will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in the Ellejoy Cemetery in Seymour. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street in Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
