TAYLOR , JAMES ALVIN - age 92, of Knoxville, died Monday, September 10, 2001. He was a member of Second United Methodist Church, where he was a very active supporter of the Food Ministry. Preceded in death by his wife, Gladys F. Taylor , and son, Billy Wade Taylor . Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy Jean and Noel Mackey, Linda Jo and Michael Rich; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Christine Taylor , Kyle and Henrietta Taylor ; grandchildren, Terry Mackey and wife, Debra, Tim Mackey and wife, Katie, Serena Lett and husband, Jeff, Debra Bunch and husband, Jeff, Melissa Taylor , Denise Holder and husband, Buddy, Kyle A. Taylor , Jr. and wife, Carolyn, Lisa A. Taylor , Kristi Long and husband, Kenny, Lacey Grubb and husband, Phillip; great-grandchildren, Ashley Taylor , Emily Holder, Chad, Chelsey and Jason Sharp, James Kyle Taylor , Jared and Jacob Long; great-grandchildren, Andy and Chance Bunch, DeAnna, Valerie, Chandler, and Stratton Mackey, and Lauren and Chase Mackey, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Rev. Bob Tripp and Rev. Gerald McFarland officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment service. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Eagles Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second United Methodist Church, 1524 Western Ave., Knoxville, TN 37921. The family will receive friends 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
