Ronald “Ronnie” Harrison Gibbs, age 71, of Cosby, TN passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Ronnie was a member of the Baptist faith and was retired as the former owner and operator of Gibbs Gun Store. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corp and loved to sing and karaoke, especially songs by Elvis Presley. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Essie Gibbs, and One Brother, and Two Sisters. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Gibbs; Sons and daughter-in-law, Lee and Crystal Gibbs of Maryville, and Brandon Gibbs and fiancé, Whitney Puleo of Knoxville ; Daughters and sons-in-law, April Wilson of Cosby, TN, Ashley and Scott Monger of Maryville, and Margaret Kelley of Happy Valley; Step-children, Michael and John; Grandchildren, Caylee Gibbs, Haley Wilson, Alyssa Wilson, Latham Gunter, John and Mark Kelley, Malaki Monger, Aaliyah Gunter, Abigail Gibbs, Sandra Kelley, and as yet to be born, Lilith Gibbs; Sister, Ann Knuckles. A Celebration of Ronnie’s Life will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Grandview Cemetery for Interment Service.
