Mrs. Glennis Boring Ball, age 79 of Marietta, Georgia, went to be with The Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2015, following a long illness. The family will have a private celebration of her life in her beloved hometown of Maryville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Ball was retired from financial services, worked for the IRS and Federal Credit Union, in addition to her many deployments with her husband’s military career and volunteer activities. Mrs. Ball was a founding member of the Good Grief program, Little Church of Hope Women’s Shelter, Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader, NCO club leader and a founding member of Kennesaw Community Church. She was also owner of the Acworth Paint and Decorating Center in the late 70s. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband TSGT Alfred K. Ball, her, son, Mark A. Ball, her parents, Mr. Glenn Boring, Mrs. Pauline Garland Carpenter and Mrs. Maxine Boring Mann. Survivors include, son, Michael S. Ball and wife, Cynthia of Cartersville, Georgia, daughter, Shannon L. Trent, of Acworth, Georgia, brothers, Don E. Boring and wife, Francis of Maryville, Tennessee, Larry Boring of Centerville, Tennessee, sisters Janice Braun and Jim of Maryville, Tennessee, Laverne Copenhaver and Jimmy of Ooltewah, Tennessee, Brenda Jordan and Jim of Charleston, Tennessee, four grandchildren, Erin M. Trent of Denver, Colorado, Alex M. Trent, Jordan E. Trent of Marietta, Georgia, Catheryn Hembree and husband, Clay of Cartersville, Georgia, Sisters-in-law, Mrs. Hazel Bush and Mrs. Minnie Campbell of Pascagoula, Mississippi, son-in-law Steve Trent of Atlanta, Georgia; special friends Mr. Masood Shabazaz, Mrs. Lucille Carr and Mrs. Sherry Huff and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Her love will continue on in our hearts forever.
