CURTIN , LEO CONWAY, JR. age 82, a beloved father, passed away, peacefully on April 7, 2008 at Life Care of Elizabethton, TN. He was a graduate of St. Mary's in Canandaigua, NY, served in the U.S. Navy for 32 years before retiring and was an active member of the V.F.W. post #1733. He was preceded in death by wife Della Bruce Curtin , son, Kenneth Bruce, special friend Geraldine Harrell. Survived by daughters, Patricia Lawson, Helen Stropp, Michael J. Curtin , Katherine Hatcher, Jeanette Lyons, sons in law, Lynn Lawson, Mark Hatcher, Richard Lyons, grandchildren, Toni France, Shannon Lawson, John Lawson, April Stevens, Barbara Slusser, Christopher Slusser, Whitney Hurst, Lauren Stout, David Hatcher, Mary and Christy Hester, 16 grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, sister, Betty Lou Thannert of Iowa. Family and friends will meet, 1:15 p.m., Thursday, Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery for a service at 1:30 p.m. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Life Care and Caris Health for all their tender care and help.
