Agnes Malinda Claxton Morrissette, age 85 of Knoxville, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Nora Valentine; brothers, Lee, Doel and Edward Valentine; sisters, Pauline Rhea, Wilma Whitted, Kate Pryor; brothers-in-law, Clarence Rhea, McKinley Whitted; sister-in-law, Doris Valentine; daughter-in-law, Jean Claxton; granddaughter, Tracy Haynes; great-granddaughter, Olivia Morrissette.
Agnes is survived by her sons, Larry Claxton, and Dean Morrissette and wife, Pat; daughters, Linda Gibbons and significant other, Ron Stallings, Brenda Haynes and husband, Gary "Hub"; grandsons, David Claxton and wife, Julie, Shannon Walker and wife, Brandi, Danny Morrissette and wife, Shante, Clinton Harrison, and Anthony Haynes; granddaughters, Lorri Maples and husband, Kent, Amy Brantley and husband, Jason, Deana Burns and husband, Dennis "Dink"; Kimberly Swann, Katlin and Sabrina Haynes, and Brandi Haynes Varner; seven great-grandsons; eleven great-granddaughters; brother, Henry Valentine; sisters-in-law, Georgia, Louise and Nancy Valentine; and a host of extended family members and friends.
The family wished to extend the warmest and deepest appreciation to Shannon and Brandi Walker, and Sabrina Haynes.
Receiving of family and friends Monday, October 20th from 5 to 7 pm at Atchley Funeral Home in Seymour, the funeral service to follow at 7pm Monday with Rev. Freddy Gibson officiating. Graveside service 2 pm Tuesday in Howard's View Cemetery with her grandsons serving as Pallbearers and her great-grandsons as Honorary Pallbearers. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour.
