  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 8 Sep 2000. WHITTED, WILMA OLA VALENTINE - age 80, of Seymour, passed away, Thursday, September 7, 2000 at Farragut Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, McKinley Whitted; parents, Bernard and Nora Howard Valentine; sisters, Pauline Rhea and Kate Pryer; mother in law, Viola Whitted. Survivors: daughter and son in law, Charlene and Joe Rutherford; sons and daughters in law, Jimmie and Bea Whitted, Kenneth Gerald and Evelyn Whitted, Buford and Shirley Whitted, Jack and Diane Whitted, Stan and Sherry Whitted; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brothers, Henry, August Lee, Doel and Edward Valentine; sister, Agnes Melinda Morrissette; sister in law, Frances Arp Sharp; a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of River Oaks in Loudon, Tenn. for the care given to Wilma. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Friday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Interment 2 p.m. Saturday in Howard's View Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
