Mr. Paul Marcell Mantooth , age 74 , of Newport , passed away Tuesday evening, May 12, 2015, at Heritage Center of Morristown. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Paul Mantooth and Betty Mae Shaver Mantooth and sisters Polly Harter and Emma Dean Day. Survivors include his daughters Debbie Strange of Del Rio, Beverly Mantooth of Morristown,and Darlene Brown of Newport ; and son Robert Mantooth of South Carolina. Additional survivors include his beloved brother Johnny Mantooth of Athens, TN, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. The family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Union Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Doug Messer officiating.
