Mr. Fred J. Ellison , Jr. , age 78 , of Newport , passed away Wednesday , May 6 , 2015 , at his home.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father Fred Ellison , Sr., mother Bessie Hall Ellison , brothers Jay Ellison , George Ellison , and R. C. Ellison , and sisters Irene Hartsell, Wanda Faye Winters, and Jetta Rosalee Ellison .
He is survived by his brother L. D. Ellison , and sister Liz Caldwell, both of Del Rio, and several nieces and nephews, including nephew Johnny Gambrel of Del Rio.
The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, May 8, 2015 , from 1:00—2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow in the Mt. Zion (Sand Hill) Cemetery with Rev. Willie Winters officiating.
The family wishes to extend a special "Thank you" to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice.
