Charlotte C. York Mantooth, age 73, of Newport, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Jefferson County Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Mantooth; parents, Alvin C. and Marjorie Shults York; brother, Billy York; and brother-in-law, R. L. Green. She is survived by her daughters, Keitha Bryant (Timothy J.) of Newport, and Sarah Marjorie Mantooth of Bybee; grandchildren, Curtis Allan Bryant (Betty) of Newport, Whitney Owenby, Dusti Cureton and Brodie Cureton all of Newport; brother, Michael Alvin York of Newport; sister, Linda Rose Green of Cosby; sister-in-law, Marlene York of Newport; also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 10, 2015 in Inman Cemetery with Rev. Robert Green officiating.
