McCARTY , LUCILE FRANCES - age 97, our precious mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, September 18, 2000 at her home in the Riverdale Community in East Knox County. She would have been 98 on September 24th. She was a member of Marbledale Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Herbert L. McCarty ; son, Tony L. McCarty ; daughter, Betty McCarty Wilhite; grandchildren, Darrell and Jeffrey Wilhite; son in law, Roger Verble. Survived by devoted son in law, George A. Wilhite; daughter, Joyce McCarty Verble; son and daughter in law, John and Lee Etta McCarty ; daughters and sons in law, June and Howard Barbra, Gerri and Sherrill Perkins, Nan and Bobby Joe Fawver; grandchildren, Scotty Joe Fawver, Gigi Wilhite Farmer, Steve, Ron, Tim andPhil McCarty ; great grandchildren, Chad, Trace, Christy, Michelle, Lori Beth, Drew, Amber and Lee Ann; great-great grandchildren, Kaley and Kaitlyn; loyal nieces, Hazel Brown, Mary Ruth Ott, Betty Sue Greene and Peggy McCubbins; loving, dedicated caregivers, Mary Reynolds and Jean Collins who have been with Mama throughout her eight years of illness. May God always bless them The family would like to thank Dr. Craig Laman for his skilled care and Christian support. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Stony Point Cemetery. McCarty -Evergreen Chapel in charge.
