ROSE, BENNIE JOE (BEN) - age 74 of Halls, reached the end of the road he was traveling on August 7, 2005. Ben is now in the arms of his Savior, whom he knew personally and is with his mother and dad, Flora and Shelby Rose and his great grandson Devon Jennings Oakley . He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Harry Medaris Sunday School Class, retired member Operating Engineers Local #917, Powell Lodge, #582 F.&A.M. and 32nd. Degree Scottish Rite Bodies. Ben was a loving husband and father and leaves: his devoted, beloved wife, Dot Rose son, Stephen C. Rose and wife Terri grandson, Stephen C. Rose II and granddaughter, Stephanie (Rose) Burns and husband, Kelly great grandchildren, Alexus and Mikey Oakley . He also leaves: his father-in-law, Rev. J. Walker Kitts brother-in-law, Glenn Kitts and wife Gail and all the boys. Service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Dr. Scott Thomas and Dr. Charles Earl officiating. Family and friends will meet, 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Highland Memorial Cemetery for interment at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be: Jim Mills, Larry Reeves, Kenton Books, Glenn Kitts, Wayne Stiles and Jay Farmer. Honorary pallbearers will be: Buddie Brown, His Sunday School Class, Clay Matthews and Ralph Lowery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
