ROLEN, MR. JIMMIE RAY - of Knoxville, formerly of Sevierville, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2001. He was born November 2, 1922. He was retired from Robertshaw Controls and a Veteran of World War II, receiving the World War II Victory Medal. He was a born again Christian and a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Powell. Preceded in death by parents, James and Lillie Hurst Rolen; sister, Lillie Mae Dickie, and brothers, Ora, Willie , Jesse, Stanley, Luther, Elton, Coy, and Roy Rolen. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Gina Lois Proffitt Rolen; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Jack Miller of LaFollette, Debbie and David Jensen of Knoxville; grandchildren, Ashley Brooke Miller Creech and husband Jonathan of Knoxville, Jaclyn Taylor Miller and Christin Faith Miller, both of LaFollette; brother, Troy Rolen of Sevierville. Graveside services and interment Friday, 2 p.m. at Rolen Cemetery in Sevierville with Rev. Andy Ball officiating.
