Mamie Jackson Hale , 85, of Newport, went to be with the Lord Saturday morning, January 15, 2005, at Heritage Center in Morristown.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Hale was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucy (Eldridge) Grice; husbands, Allen Ray Jackson and Dofus Hale ; one grandson, Tony Jackson; and two granddaughters, Martha Lee Jackson and Tina M. Jackson; brothers B.F. Grice, James Grice and William Compton Grice; sister Ava Russell; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Sue Jackson.
Surviving Mrs. Hale are three sons, Freddy Jackson of Newport, Junior Jackson of Newport and Hershel Jackson of Jefferson City; one sister, Lena Jackson of Parrottsville; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. And several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family received friends Monday, January 17, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Service followed at 8 p.m. with Rev. Douglas Jacobs and Rev. Joe Cureton officiating.
Graveside service was conducted Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. January 18, 2005, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Mamie Jackson Hale .
