Timothy Jon Ewaskowitz, 57, of Sturgeon Bay, was called to his eternal home Sunday evening, December 14, 2014, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay following complications from pneumonia.
He was born August 8, 1957, in Sturgeon Bay, the son of the late Eugene and Sally (Woller) Ewaskowitz. Tim graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1975. He was a school record holder in freestyle swimming in high school. After high school, he worked for Palmer Johnson where he utilized his welding skills until going to work for his father at Gene’s Cabinet and Construction where he became a skilled carpenter.
Tim was known for being a prankster and a practical joker. He loved fishing and ice fishing, woodworking, hunting, stamp collecting, and bird watching. Tim also loved working with wood and created things for family and friends, especially bird feeders and bird houses. In his youth, he even enjoyed scuba diving.
Tim will be missed by his son, Patrick (Desislava) Johnson of Green Bay; daughter, Leah; four siblings, Jeff, Mark, both of Sturgeon Bay, Lori (Dr. David) Worgowski of Mt. Horeb, Andrew (Kelly) of Sturgeon Bay; aunt, Nancy Tlachac of Sturgeon Bay; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Sally Ewaskowitz; and his wife, Veronica (2005).
A memorial service honoring Tim’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Monday evening, December 22, 2014, at Friends Community Church, 204 W. Maple St., in Sturgeon Bay with Pastor Nancy Bontempo officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday after 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
