REVA STALLINGS LINDSEY, age 86, of Jefferson City, TN died suddenly at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jefferson City, a 50 plus year member of Holston Chapter No. 384 Order of Eastern Star and a charter member of Les Amies of Carson Newman College. She taught in various schools in Jefferson County for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Seldon Lindsey. Survived by her daughter, Nancy Lindsey of Jefferson City; son, Kenneth, and his wife, Joan of Ball Ground, GA; granddaughters, Kathryn Richards and her husband, Brandon of Murfreesboro, TN and Karen of Ball Ground, GA. Family and friends will gather at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. graveside funeral service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Memorials may be sent to the Old Cemetery Fund at First United Methodist Church, 2011 Branner Avenue, Jefferson City, TN 37760, of to the Les Amies Scholarship Fund at Carson Newman College, 1646 Russell Avenue, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
