KNOLL , GAIL WILSON - age 65 of Maryville, passed away Monday, February 7, 2005 at her home. She was a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church New Horizon Sunday School Class and a 1957 graduate of Young High School. Mrs. Knoll graduated from The University of Tennessee in 1961 where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and AFS (American Field Service) student to Sweden. She was the past chairman of the Tennessee CFO (Camps Farthest Out), a non-denominational Christian Retreat. She was also an avid hiker and traveler and a volunteer in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and Hot Springs National Park. She has been a devoted wife of 43 years and a loving mother to 3 children. Preceded in death by: her parents, Marshall A. and Zelma Tadlock Wilson. Survivors include: husband, Dr. Robert R. Knoll sons and daughters-in-law, Tadlock Scott and Leanne Filson Knoll , Dr. David Andrew and Susan Phillips Knoll daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Knoll Johnson and Brent Johnson all of Maryville grandchildren, Marshall, Caleb, Olivia, Andrew, Ellie and Carson many special cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005, at First United Methodist Church of Maryville with Revs. Larry and Brenda Carroll and Dr. Bob Blackstock officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to: Camps Farthest Out 317 South Madison Avenue, Watkins Glen, NY 14891 in memory of Mrs. Knoll . The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church of Maryville.
