CLAYTON , LORENE - age 74, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away Monday, August 9, at her home in Oliver Springs. Mrs. Clayton was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Bohannon and Eva Key Bohannon, and by her husband, James P. Clayton . Lorene has lived in the Hen Valley area of Oliver Springs since 1974. She was born in Athens, Tennessee May 10, 1925. She lived in Dayton, Ohio for 11 years. She was a born again Christian and a faithful member of the New Mountain View Baptist Church of Oliver Springs. Survivors: son, Jack Clayton and wife Cindy of Oliver Springs; daughters, Jimmie Sue Goosak and husband George of Everett, Washington, Nancy Buchanan and husband Kenneth of Clinton; grandchildren, Ginger Donohue, Jamie Clayton , Sicily Clayton , Patricia Clayton , Katrina Clayton , Bret Buchanan, Lindsey Buchanan, and Michaela Buchanan; great-grandchild, Madelyn Donohue; sisters, Roberta Russell of Athens, TN, Armeda Schultz of Athens, TN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many loving neighbors and friends. Her family appreciates all the kindness and support offered during her illness. Special thanks are given to the Hospice team of Covenant Health Care. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 12, at 8:00 p.m., in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Smith and Rev. Joe Copeland officiating. Friends may call Thursday, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m., at Sharp Funeral Home.
