Armeda Bohannon Schultz died Saturday morning, Dec. 3, 2011, at Wellington Place of Athens. A lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Eva Bohannon, and was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, George Ross Schultz , on July 19, 2010; and one sister, Lorene Clayton. Survivors include two sons, Billy Ross Schultz and his wife, Ann, of Athens, and George Robert Schultz and his wife, Penny, of Lenoir City; four grandchildren, Denise Martin and her husband, Rob, and Tim Schultz and his wife, Shannon, all of Athens, Gayla Patterson and her husband, David, of Lenoir City, and Stacie Witkowski and her husband, Chuck, of Knoxville; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Roberta Russell of Athens. The family would like to give a special thanks to the entire staff of Wellington Place of Athens for the wonderful care she received while she was there. Also, a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for their services, wonderful nurses and volunteers, and Dr. Johnnie Carter. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Smith Funeral & Cremation Services of Athens with Minister Darrin Long of Athens Christian Church officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Clearwater Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Schultz , Rob Martin, David Patterson, Chuck Witkowski, Eddie Bohannon and Joel Morris. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wellington Place Associates Christmas Fund, 120 Keith Lane, Athens, TN 37303; or Amedisys Hospice Services, 614 Congress Pkwy., Athens, TN 37303.
