He retired from Park Hosiery Mill after 39 years of service. He was preceded in death by: son, Donald Wayne Jacobs parents John and Martha Louvinny Jacobs brothers, Earl, John, Tilmon, Avery, Eldon, and Eugene and sisters, Rosie and Florence. He is survived by: wife of 72 years, Julia Jacobs children, Gilbert and Virginia Jacobs , Bobby and Peggy Jacobs , Mickey Morton, Faye and Arnold Pratt, Terry and Melodie Jacobs , Denise and Steve Corum grandchildren: James Corum, Cody Corum, Amy Jacobs , Kevin Jacobs , Krissy France, Greg Jacobs , Mike Jacobs , Kim Bunch, Randall Pratt, Mike Pratt, Eric Pratt, Brian Lane, Craig Lane, Sharon Tiller, Angela Horne, Sheree Jacobs , and Sonya Jacobs 27 great-grandchildren 6 great-great-grandchildren brother, Wilbur Jacobs and sister Alice Duncan. Funeral service will be on Tuesday March 28th at 8:00 at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Wright officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery at 11:00 on Wednesday for an interment service. The grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
