  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 27 Oct 2007. MAPLES , RUTH H SHARP age 84 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday October 24, 2007 at St. Mary's Holston Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a life-time member of Second United Methodist Church. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, I.C. Sharp and Elizabeth B. Sharp; loving husband, Fred (Ted) Maples; sisters, Thelma Sharp and Juanita S Ward; brothers, Jay Victor Sharp, I.C. Sharp, Jr., Clarence Sharp, and Jack Sharp; granddaughters, Whitney Elizabeth Maples and Brandy Dana Maples. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Lynda Maples and Danny and Carol Maples; grandchildren, Laura M. Morgan and husband Gary, Brent T. Maples and wife Page, Jake Taylor and Zack Lawson; great grandchildren, Bailey and Sarah Morgan, Emily and Evan Maples, sister, Dona S. Chaney; 1 niece and several nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary's Holston Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care of Ruth these past months. Family and friends may call or visit from 12:00 to 8:00 pm Friday and Saturday prior to the graveside service at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday October 27 with Rev. Arden Taylor officiating.
