EVANS , MARK HAMILTON, JR. "JUNE" - age 81, of Rutledge, Tenn., passed away Monday, September 30, 2002, at his residence. He was a member of the Mascot Methodist Church. Mr. Evans retired from the U. S. Army as Sgt. 1st Class, after 20 years of service, and served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Mollie Evans , Sr. two brothers, Charles and Samuel Evans and step-sister, Frances Bateman. Survivors include a daughter, Kim and husband, Clive Daw and two grandchildren, Ian and Peter Daw, all of Camberley Surrey, England sister, Marcia Black, and several nieces and nephews, special great nieces, Heather, Carrie and Emma and special caregiver, Gracie Morgan. Friends may call at their convenience on Tuesday, 12 Noon to 4 p.m., and Wednesday 8 a.m. to 12 Noon. Graveside services will be Wednesday, October 2, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with Col. Gary D. Ellis officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by Volunteer State Honor Guard. Arrangements by McCarty Mortuary, 4004 Holston Dr., Knoxville, Tenn.
