Cora Deats Huskey age 96, of Pittman Center, passed away on November 26, 2010. Cora was born January 2, 1914 in Bangor, Pennsylvania. Cora was a graduate of Maryville College and taught Home Economics and French among other subjects at Pittman Center and Gatlinburg Pittman High School for over 30 years. She was a member of Burnett United Methodist Church teaching Sunday school and playing the organ well into the later years of her life. Cora was preceded in death by her husband for over 50 years, Conley Huskey; only son, Larry Huskey and sister, Grace James. Survivors include her grandson, Tyler Huskey and wife, Rachel of Pittman Center; 3 great grandsons, Jack, Will and Craig Huskey; Judith Balkcom; many other relatives including several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Burnett Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Alta Raper officiating. Interment will follow the service in Emerts Cove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Burnett Memorial United Methodist Church, mailed to 2425 Little Branch - Sevierville, TN 37876.
