Vivian A. Wright , 77, of Greenville passed away Sept. 8, 2010, at Triumph Hospital in Dallas following a long battle with cancer. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Randy Daw officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Vivian was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Mt. Pleasant to Dan Franklin and Fannie E. Williams Long . Following the death of her parents at the age of 2, she was raised by her maternal grandmother, Sarah Ann Williams. On Aug. 24, 1954, she married Roland Eugene Wright in Dallas. She had a long and successful career as a tax return preparer, helping her many clients and friends throughout her 50 years of professional service.
She was a member of Greenville Church of Christ.
Her survivors include her son, Paul Wright of Greenville; daughters Cheryl Ann Watson and husband Todd of Mesquite and Kimberly Allison and husband Chris of Greenville;
grandchildren Matt Watson and wife Paige and Brian Watson of Mesquite and Alyssa and Ashley Allison of Greenville; and great-grandchildren Hunter, Arabelle and Ryker Watson of Mesquite.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1986 and two brothers, Dan R. and Bill G. Long .
Pallbearers will be Todd Watson, Chris Allison, Matt Watson, and Brian Watson.
