Mary Ethel Whaley Morris
Mrs. Morris, age 90, of Charlotte, died Saturday, June 11, 2005 at her residence. Born September 13, 1914 in Sevierville, TN, she was a daughter of the late Leander C. Whaley and Mary Rosesetta King Whaley. Mrs. Morris was a retired hosiery mill inspector. She enjoyed her daily walk in Freedom Mall.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 14, 2005 from the graveside at Sharon Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Monday at McEwen Funeral Service - Charlotte Chapel.
Survivors include two sisters, Jewel Collins and Blanche Cartwright , both of Cleveland; sister-in-law, Virginia Morris of Charlotte; four nephews, Gary Morris and Steven Morris, both of Charlotte, and Billy Collins and Paul McConnell , both of Cleveland; four nieces, Patricia Ann Linglie, Susan Faulk and Rebecca Stewart, all of Charlotte and Kay Holder of Cleveland, TN; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Morris; and other siblings.
