He belonged to Masonic Lodge Number 36 in Oklahoma City. He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church and belonged to the Beacon Class. He is survived by Pauline Shields, his wife of 47 years; his daughter and son-in-law, Mozelle and Joe K. Brand of Oklahoma City; his granddaughter and her family, Paula and Larry Wolfe, Justin and Kevin, of Charlotte, North Carolina; another granddaughter and her family, Kathy and Dr. Tim Moore, Adam and Jenny of Stroud, Oklahoma.
