Audie Flowers, 76, of Blanco died Sunday, November 22, 1987 at Hays Memorial Hospital in San Marcos. She had been a resident of a Wimberley nursing Home. Flowers was born July 21, 1911 in Dallas County. She was a resident of Blanco for 51 years, and formerly of Georgetown. She married Lloyd Simon Flowers, who died in February of 1946. The daughter of Wellington Shields and Tommie Dessie, Flowers was a member of Jehovah's Witness and a retired nurse. Services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, November 23 at Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, with Jim Danall officiating. Interment was at the Independent Order of Oddfellows Cemetery in Georgetown. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Flowers of Houston and Marvin Flowers of Wimberley; a daughter, Jackie Rogers of Round Rock; a sister, Syble McSpadden of Show Low, Arizona; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
