PATTY , RALPH V. - age 82, of Friendsville, went to be with the Lord from his home on Tuesday morning, January 25, 2000. He was a charter member of Marble Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he had served faithfully as a Deacon & Treasurer. Former owner & operator of City Mobil. Veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII. Preceded in death by infant son, Lowery Franklin Patty ; grandson, James Samuel Patty ; great grandson, Jonathan Wesley Fee; parents, John & Minnie Patty ; brothers, Elmer, Lloyd & Herman Patty ; brother in law, Johnny Max McNeilly. Survivors: wife of 59 years, Georgia Bell Bryan Patty ; son & daughter-in-law, John William & Virginia Patty ; daughter, Gladys Bryan McNeilly; daughters and sons-in-laws, Nancy Louise & Lon Shockley, Sr., Brenda Laverne & Stanley McCall, Margaret June & William Ross, all of the Friendsville & Greenback areas; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Lena Mae Russell of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Minnie Idell & Al Pace of Maryville, Marilyn Louise & Sam Heaton of Chatsworth, Ga.; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, & neighbors. Funeral service 8 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2000, Miller Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Earl Taylor, Rev. Bill Ross, Rev. Frank Easter officiating. Family & friends will meet 2 p.m. Friday at Marble Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
