Shockley Sr., age 74 of Greenback, born July 26, 1940 passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at UT hospital after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was a veteran of the United States Marines Corps and retired from UT Hospital, and maintenance at the Air National Guard Base. He was preceded in death by parents, Lonnie and Georgia Shockley, grandson Johnathon Wesley Fee, sisters-in-law, Helen Shockley, Virginia Patty, brothers-in-law, Max McNeilly, Stanley McCall, and Hollis Neely, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Erskin Clemmer of Vonore, Mr. and Mrs. Farris Shockley of Winchester. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Louise Shockley, son and daughter-in-law, Lon and Joy Shockley of Friendsville, daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Joe Fee of Greenback, Diana and David Mitchell of Chattanooga, and Patti and Pudge Smith of Maryville, grandchildren: Grace, Garrett and Grant Shockley, Joseph and Jennifer Fee, Whitney and Caleb Watson, Mitch, Drew and Summer Mitchell, Nancy Mitchell, Trey and Stephanie Smith, and Nathan Smith, great grandchildren, Bethany and Isaiah Fee, Micah Mitchell, soon to arrive Patrick Tate Smith, sisters, Patsy and Ralph Guider of Maryville, Tammy and Mike Raines of Greenback, and Dan Shockley of Friendsville, and loving nieces and nephews. Family and Friends will assemble for Graveside services and Interment 11:00 am Thursday at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenback with Lon Shockley Jr. officiating.
