He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Ethel Leatherwood Lewis; brother, Charles Homer Lewis; and sisters, Lucille Millsaps and Gladys Kidd. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jackie O’Dell Lewis; daughter and son-in-law, Cecilia and Robert Lingerfelt; sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn R. Lewis, Ed R. and Dianna Lewis, and Chris Lewis; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Joe Shamblin; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Estelle Lewis; grandsons and spouses, Tom and Melissa Dixon and Jonathan and Denise Dixon; five great-grandchildren; and several beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 3, 2007, at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Bill Dixon officiating. Family and friends will proceed to Grandview Cemetery immediately following the funeral for the graveside service and interment.
