Doris Louise Adams, age 68 of Pigeon Forge, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014. She was a woman of immense Christian faith in our Lord and Savior. Doris was an active member of Hurst Baptist Church for many years. She selflessly served the community by volunteering with the Women's Group. Doris was a Sunday School Teacher for many years and truly enjoyed serving the Lord with her church family. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cotton Adams; and her parents, Harry and Pauline Whitworth.
Doris is survived by her son, Danny Buck; daughter, Amy Adams and her husband, Michael Cordier; grandchildren, Rusty Valentine, Zachary Sadler, Shelbie Sadler, and Charles Bridges; brother, James Whitworth and wife, Martha; nephew, Stacy Whitworth; niece, Amanda Whitworth; her special cousin who she considered a sister, Judy Arthur and her husband, Frank; and her cherished and special friends, Jennifer Simms and Cindy Davenport.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday, December 16th at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Funeral service 1 PM Wednesday, December 17th at Hurst Chapel Baptist Church with Rev.
