John "J.B." Ellis, age 64 of Sevierville, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014. He was born May 25, 1950. J.B. was a member of Union Valley Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from Knoxville Mack Trucks after 32 years and from The Flower Pot Florist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Nadine Ellis; and brother-in-law, Ronald Randles.
J. B.is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sue Randles Ellis; daughters, Jennifer Minor and husband, Claude, and Kim Brown and fiancé, Rick Myers; grandsons, Tyler Brown and Sinjin Myers; brother-in-law, Ed Randles and wife, Barbara; brothers, LeeRoy, Randall, Junior, David, and Carl Ellis, all of Knoxville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Atchley Funeral Home to benefit the family.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, December 16th at Atchley Funeral Home in Seymour with the Funeral Service to follow at 7 pm Tuesday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel, 122 Peacock Court, Seymour, TN with Rev. Hudson Chesteen officiating. Interment 10am Wednesday, December 17th in Boyd's Creek Cemetery with Rev. Dan Hix officiating and Claude Minor, Rick Myers, Sinjin Myers, Kent Atkins, Gary Jones and Ed Randles serving as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Hardin, Bryan King and Elbert Gibson.
