Alex A. Rakas , 83, died Sunday, June 29, 1997, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Naperville.
Born May 3, 1914, in Cicero, Mr. Rakas was a 28-year resident of Bolingbrook.
He was a meat inspector for A&P Food stores in Chicago and was a member of the Bolingbrook Senior Citizens club.
He is survived by his wife, Emily; a daughter, Loretta Morris; a son, James (Flora); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary (the late Craig) Williams; a sister-in-law, Bernice (John) York; and nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday and Tuesday, July 1 and 2.
Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Bolingbrook Funeral Chapel handled the arrangements.
