ROBERT THOMAS “BOB” GADDIS, age 83, of Dandridge, TN went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 19, 2016, after a hard fought battle with leukemia. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Blanche Gaddis; his wife, Robbie Welch Gaddis; sister, Racine Gaddis; brother-in-law, Wayne "Dobie" Welch; uncle and aunt, Hugh and Dixie Miller; special cousin, Billy P. Miller. Bob was a man who enjoyed hard work and loved spending time with his family. He was a retired school bus driver from the Jefferson County School System, had recently retired as a mail carrier from the United States Postal Service, and farmed until the age of 82. He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Bill) Gass; sons, Bobby (Karen) Gaddis, Don (Allison) Gaddis, Dale Gaddis, Garth Gaddis; grandchildren, Julia (Blake) Finchum, Robert (Jessica) Gass, Hayden Gaddis, Carley Gaddis, Kassidy Huffaker, Weston Huffaker; great-grandchildren, Lyla, Bella Kate, and Tallulah Finchum, Caroline and Christopher Gass; sister-in-law, Eutha Welch; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Barbara Welch; special cousin, Janice Miller; and faithful dog, Tybee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hills Union Cemetery Fund, C/O Dave Gibbons, 2383 Hills Chapel Road, Dandridge, TN, 37725. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00pm Monday, May 23, 2016 with the funeral service to follow at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge. Rev. John Clark and Bro. Mike Hensley will officiate.
