RACINE REESE CHAMBERS, age 85, of Dandridge, TN passed away Sunday morning, November 23, 2014. She was a member of the Dandridge First United Methodist Church and was a long-time employee of the Jefferson County Health Department, and was a graduate of Maury High School. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Mae Thornton Reese, and was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy, Ruel, Reeford “Buck”, Randall “Andy” and Robert; sisters, Ruth, Reva, and Ruby. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Cecil Robert “Harry” Chambers; sons, Phil Chambers and Jim (Jamie) Chambers; daughters, Susan (Lloyd) Parker and Sara (Gene) Williams. Racine loved her grandchildren, Lance and Rebecca Williams, Fallon Chambers Parker, Brandon, Bryce, Caden, Colin and Cailee Chambers; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, H.B. and Billie Jean Chambers; many nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Jean Gass, Tei Gagstatter, Kelly Inman, Dee Golbol, Alisha Brunson and Linda McWilliams, UT Homehealth and Hospice, Jefferson Co. Nursing Home (Rogers Cottage); and a long list of special people. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2014, 11:00am at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Steve Brown and Rev. Dr. Caroline Goddard officiating. The Chambers family will gather and greet friends immediately following the graveside service at the Dandridge First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall to celebrate Racine’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Dandridge First United Methodist Church (Wednesday Night Meal Program) P.O. Box 8, Dandridge, TN, 37725.
