He was retired from Rockford Manufacturing Company, and a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Rockford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Vaughn Romines; stepson, Billy Vaughn; parents, James and Viola Romines; brother, Delas Romines; and sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Carl Hembree. He is survived by his sister, Delories Spiva of Rockford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carroll and Mary Romines of Alcoa, James and Agnes Romines of Sun City, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Clarence Price of Maryville; granddaughter, Donna Vaughn Gregory of Rockford; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Marilyn and Freddie Murr. A special thanks to the staff of Kindred Healthcare – Fairpark, and also Blount Memorial Hospice.
