Frank Frazier , Jr., age 78, of Cosby, passed away Monday, September 23, 2002 at the VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WWII. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lou Frazier , and step-father, Martin Black; son, Ronald R. Frazier ; sister, Nancy Gates; and brother, Lillard Black. He is survived by his wife, Effie Frazier , of Cosby; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Marcia Frazier , of Newport; daughter, Theresa Frazier , of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Ed Black and John Black, both of Cosby; sister, Emma Mooneyham, of Hartford; grandchildren, Thomas Campbell Frazier and Bailey Elizabeth Frazier , both of Newport; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2002 at the Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with L/Cpl Charles C. Roberts DAV Chapter 102 conducting military rites. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
