Jerry Mitchell " Mick " Hackney , age 57, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was of Baptist faith and employed by Best and Hord Construction Company of Maryville. He was preceded in death by father, Charles Frank Hackney ; mother, Mabel Hackney Davis; stepfather, Jim Davis; and nephew, Robbie Greene. He is survived by daughters, Jodi Hackney Berta and husband Robbie, and Dina Mink; grandchildren, Jalen Mink and Ava Baird, all of Cookeville; brothers, Tommy and Vicki Hackney of Phoenix, Ariz., and Gary and Judy Hackney of Maryville; sisters, Linda Hannah of Maryville, Sue and Larry Click of Greenback, Sandy and Lynn Wilhoite of Winchester, Ky., and friend Donna Orr Fowler. There are several nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends. Family and friends will meet 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home to proceed to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 2 p.m. graveside service with Rev. Adrian Jones.
