(October 21, 1928 - September 15, 2014) U.S. Veteran Elmer Millsaps, age 85, of Maryville, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at Kindred Healthcare and Rehab. Elmer was a carpenter in Illinois until he retired and a member of 1st Baptist of Madisonville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mindy Millsaps; father, James Millsaps; brothers, Ernest, Howard, Friendless, and Rufus Millsaps; sisters, Florida and Pearl; and nephews, Donald, Ray, and Buddy Millsaps, and Ronnie and Roy McGill. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Alice Millsaps; sons, Bobby and wife, Lynn Millsaps, Roger Millsaps, Steve and wife, Toni Millsaps, and Chad Millsaps; special friend, Kim Sam; sisters, Norma Whitehead, Anna Lea Potter; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel. The interment will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 19, 2014 at Grandview Cemetery.
