Edward Lawson “E.L.” McGaha, age 71, of Maryville, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean McGaha; father, Otha McGaha; mother, Ollie McGaha; grandmother, Mattie Tritt; brothers, Kenneth McGaha, Clyde McGaha, and James McGaha; sisters, Juanita Ball and Mattie Ann Orris. He is survived by his sisters, Geneva Huskey of Morristown and Janella (Clarence) Phillips of Maryville; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and church family. A special “Thank You” to the nurses and staff of Serene Manor Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 prior to the services. Burial will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in Union Cemetery, Friends and Family may sign the guest register online at: www.manesfuneralhome.com. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
